Valeria Serrano is a first-generation student pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She is passionate about advancing equitable, culturally responsive care and believes that everyone deserves access to the resources and support they need to thrive. Through her work with guts, she hopes to help dismantle the systemic and cultural barriers that prevent individuals from accessing care and continue advocating for more meaningful, inclusive resources for all.

Elissa is an interdisciplinary scientist with a background in neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, and computer science. Previously, she conducted neuroscience research at Massachusetts General Hospital and worked as a data scientist in the biotechnology industry. Through her involvement with guts, she hopes to raise mental health awareness and help make mental health care more accessible to all.
